Hammad Hussain

President & Founder

Hammad is an accomplished and results-oriented leader with 20+ years of professional experience across the globe in manufacturing and construction industries. He has demonstrated his capabilities by leading growth initiatives and managing complex businesses profitably globally, both organically and inorganically.

A licensed professional civil engineer by training, he conducted research in the complex field of hyper-concentrated sediment transport in rivers and its potential impact on civil infrastructure as part of his graduate studies. Following that, he spent the next 8 years working for two large civil infrastructure companies AECOM/URS and Stantec in Chicago, Phoenix and Washington DC. Following that, he decided to pursue business management education. Upon completion of his MBA degree, he joined GE through its prestigious and highly selective leadership program. Hammad spent next 12 years with GE, ABB and Honeywell where he rose through corporate ranks by doing several roles in multiple industrial manufacturing businesses (power generation, water treatment, renewables, electrical distribution, & fire protection). In that capacity, he led large teams globally covering North America, Europe, Middle East and Asia while managing general management, mergers & acquisitions, product management, sales & marketing, and operational restructuring responsibilities for businesses from $500MM to $1.8B.

Hammad, a US citizen, has lived and worked in the US, South East Asia, South Asia, Middle East, and North Africa. He is an avid fan of cricket, soccer and tennis and lives in Atlanta with his family. He actively participates in several charity activities, especially for orphans.

Why TIG

Originally from Pakistan, Hammad belongs to a family with a history of entrepreneurship.  His father, in partnership with a few peers, grew a civil engineering business from humble beginnings into a major ISO 9001:2015 certified company with a professional, technical and administrative manpower of more than 500 employees. Having grown up in a strong entrepreneurial culture, Hammad therefore saw his parents dealing with the brutal pressure of managing their own enterprise as well as gaining the satisfaction of helping their employees grow with the company.

This entrepreneurial legacy and strong values that come with it, inspire Hammad and serve as the main driver behind launching TIG and helping great established small businesses to grow to the next level of success. He understands the hard work (“blood, toil, tears and sweat” as Churchill summarized it) the original owners put in to making their businesses thrive. And that is precisely why it is so important for TIG to connect with the entrepreneurs and owners of businesses and to ensure acquired businesses and their brand/legacy remain independent and autonomous.
